A page for the "classic" Gundam Gashapon figures is finally up. These figures are your typical underdogs but have a lot of interesting features about them. On the plus side, these soft plastic figures are cheap and extremely durable and offer quite a big range of mobile suits albeit not from the later franchises. Their disadvantages are the same as their advantages, the soft plastic that makes them durable also means you will encounter bent parts and the occasional uncooperative arm or leg that doesn't quite want to fit in its socket. The early figures especially are a bit plain but the designs get quite detailed later, culminating in some really impressive deluxe figures.
While a non-scale series most of the figures scale well next to each other and their small size make them an interesting option as gaming pieces. The best way to find them used to be second hand markets but over the last couple of years they seem to have become a bit rarer. Anyway, the page is up there on the ribbon and it also contains some of the spin-off sets that came out of the line. I'm still debating what to do with the 1:220 figure pages and if they should be consolidated into one large chronology page like the SD figures. Sounds like a lot of work though so that might take a while...
